We need to come up with sustainable solutions to unemployment that help individuals participate in society. These complex cases are likely to need intensive and tailored support to ensure individuals are ready to enter into the workplace and sustain employment.
Social Support Authority (SSA) has a mandate to support low-income families and it is working with Ma’an to design new ways of supporting families where unemployment is a persistent problem. The project claims to reduce the gap between job seekers and employers by identifying these gaps and providing upskilling opportunities.
